It's OK
I would never pay full price for this item. The book is sort of large which I believe is a good thing but the letters and some of the pictures in the book are WAY WAY to small. I believe what you are teaching should be large and bold so the child can see it. The DVD is good but very short. I did not time it but it was probably about 15 minutes long. I believe that this will help my child learn but there may be other things out there that would do a bit of a better job.
Fun lift the flap book, but highly overpriced
My son was an avid Elmo lover when we bought this book for him. The flaps were fun to lift for awhile, but it simply did not hold his attention nearly as much as other Elmo stories. We only watched the DVD one time, and it was short. An ok book and DVD, but I think not worth the cost of purchasing new. Try to find used if you really want it....
excellent
My toddler loves Elmo and is currently learning the alphabet, so I thought this would be a great compliment to her library. She watches and sings along, and I think since she already is pretty fluent with the alphabet, this will help her to process and speed things along well. Thanks.
The book and DVD were in great condition and I received it in a timely manner.
Brilliant
This is a brilliant book for teaching the ABC in a fun and interactive way. More of these type of books please with loads more Sesame Street characters.
Thought Book and DVD was a follow along
I guess my daughter is a monster, she already ripped some of the flaps off, likes the book, but is waaay to rough with it, I have to watch her to make sure she doesnt rip some more flaps off. The DVD lacks a few things, it doesnt go with the book, they should of just sold the two of them separately. Secondly, the alphabet is long especially for a two year old, and parts of the DVD you cannot clearly hear what is being said. Thirdly, I agree the flaps on the book are not sturdy enough evidently for my monster 2 yr old, the first time we sat down together to check it out, the DVD was still in the book, and she grabbed it and tore the DVD out. I am just not impressed with this DVD book combo, I have a counting DVD made by sesame street and it is VERY cute, not the one that goes with this one. My daughter loves it but, like I say I have a hard time understanding alot of what is going on. They have one segment that has the African Animal Alphabet, and half of the animals you cannot hear what they are. I think that it is confusing to the kids as well as the parents that are trying to sing along with the DVD. Bottom line, I would not recommend this combo.
